What's New with Our Project?
On Aug/08/02 we met and discussed our plans for CARSEF 2003.
Our goal would be to have our hydrogen producing unit ready.
On nect wednesday, we will be leting new people, who are interested in this project, join the club.
11/04/02 We almost have all the materials to build the Double Bubbler and our hydrogen producing system. We have designed a way to keep the cells on a trailer.
On 01/25/03 Potasium Hydroxide (KOH) was imported.
2/26/03- Our solar producing unit is 97% ready, we tried to test it outside but due to our bad luck it was couldy.
March 28: Mr. William Shisler from ASUPTL contacted to arrange a time to pick up solar panels.
March 31-April 1: Soroush entered AZJSHS, but unfortunatly did not get to the final round. He made connections with some professors at ASU east.
The Solar Hydrogen Producing unit is complete. The purification and pressurizing systems are complete. The system will be refilled and tested on Wednesday, Sep. 3rd. The system is designed to hold pressures of up to 60 PSI.
********** PROGRESS MADE, WE FINALLY MADE IT **********
Finally our Solar-Hydrogen Producing unit is working. Although we didn't know what kind of outcome we would have with our hand-made pressurizing system, our system works PREFECTLY FINE.
We tested it on friday, 9/12/2003, amd we were able to store hydrogen at 10 PSI. For photos realated to the our newest progress, please visit the photo page.
