Soroush's Report

The History Of The Club
The electric vehicle club was started by Lacy Blackford in fall 2000. Club had an electric vehicle which still exists. Later on Lacy became intrested in hydrogen, started her research on hydrogen and came up with models of electrolyzer. She graduated in spring 2001.

In Fall 2001, Soroush Farzin became the president and started to build the Water Mobile. He focused on Fuel Cells and internal combustion. In the meanwhile he designed his own system, which unfortunatly did not work.

Soroush's partner, Li-Chia Liu, who is also the vice-president, has been a great support for the club.

Events
So far, we have been able to set up our electrolysis device, make explosions and also broil hot dogs with our hydrogen. We have also entered CARSEF 2002 but unfortunatly we did not achive anything.

We were also donated 2 solar panels and we applied for a grant about ,000.

Our Sponsor & Mentor
Our great sponsor is Mr. Cory Waxman, who has put his priceless time to work with us. He has let us use his physics lab and been a great support for us.

Jaime Burger is our mentor from ASU. She has been coming to our science club meeting since the begining of the year.
